Our doctor and staff are involved in continuing education so that the treatments we provide will be the most current, and the technologies we use to provide them will be the most cutting edge. Dr. Robert Kent
Dr. Kent specializes in orthodontic care for children, teenagers and adults. He received two undergraduate degrees and his Doctorate in Dentistry class from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill finishing in the top 5% of his class. He received his Masters in Orthodontics from Washington University in Saint Louis, Missouri and is proud to have finished first in his class.
Aside from his private practices, Dr. Kent is a member of many professional organizations including the North Carolina Association of Orthodontists, the Southern Association of Orthodontists, the American Dental Association and the American Association of Orthodontists.
In his free time, Dr. Kent enjoys spending quality time with his wife, Donna, their children and dogs. In addition, he enjoys keeping active with tennis, golf, snowboarding, working out and spending time at the beach.
Dr. Rachel M. Hamilton
Rachel M. Hamilton was born and raised in Augusta, GA and is the daughter of a pastor and a school teacher. She received her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Meharry Medical College-School of Dentistry in Nashville, TN. Upon graduation she continued her dental education at Case Western Reserve University-School of Dentistry in Cleveland, OH where she received her Master’s in Science Degree and Certificate in Orthodontics.
Rachel was told by her mother that from the age of five she wanted to become a dentist. How awesome is that, that she was able to accomplish her goal and become not only a Dentist, but an Orthodontist. She decided after her experience with wearing braces that she wanted to become an Orthodontist to help make people’s lives better with beautiful smiles.
She has been working as an orthodontist for over twenty years, twelve of those years have been right here in North Carolina. She loves transforming the smiles of the patients and giving them that little boost of confidence that they may not have had before orthodontic treatment.
She enjoys traveling, reading and spending time with her family and her cat, Saber.
